We at Chances R, feel that a hand made item or gift is a rare and valuable thing in this fast paced world. A handmade gift is often also very expensive to obtain, but a pleasure to receive, so we encourage you to take some time out to experiment with creating jewellery and see what pleasures you can experience and bring to others.

MAKING JEWELLERY

All that you need is the desire to create something for yourself or a gift that is both unique and satisfying, beading is for everyone from the very young to the elderly, there is something for everyone, You can even made a book mark for the readers (possibly the men) in your life! This is not an expensive hobby, all you need to begin with is some kitchen grade scissors and needle nose pliers and some beading wire. If you enjoy your experience, you can then invest in some specialised tools. Gemstone beads will hold their value over time, never go out of style and remain beautiful forever, in effect a good investment.

Our gemstone beads are sold in lengths of approximately 15 inches, we refer to these as lines. We offer many different shapes in each stone and pearls.

If you see something that you like, but just wish to purchase, please email us for a special quote, we are happy to do custom orders with a minimal charge for making the item. For custom orders we can send them on as a gift from you, the piece will be wrapped in a delicate organza bag, stone meaning card with a greeting card enclosed.

KITS

We have several kits, some of which are in the catalogue, however, we can make up kits to suit your requirements. The kits come with fully illustrated instructions, wire and crimping beads, our kits are designed with the beginner in mind, all you will have to do it raid the household tool box for pliers! CARE OF GEMSTONES AND PEARLS

Pearls do not like detergents, hairsprays or perfume. Protect them by using all these products first, then, put on your jewellery. Store your pearls carefully when they are in your craft box, away from gemstones, once they are incorportated into a necklace or bracelet they are fine and will enhance your piece of jewellery. There is no specific care of gemstones other than washing with a mild detergent if ever required.
